This Technical Service Representative role will support large customers and brands of Specialty Plastics, focused on central and northern Europe.

Location: Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, UK (home office based)

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and brands with part & mold design, plastic processing, troubleshooting procedures, and material handling when qualifying our polymers.
• Responsible for material recommendations, converting the voice of the customer into “Critical To Quality” parameters driving product selection and development.
• Attend internal and external trials to evaluate material processing.
• Keep up to date with market, application, and processing technology developments, including competitive materials and technologies.
• Identify & document industry and customer-specific unmet needs and product fitness-for-use criteria.
• Provide technical product training to customers, distributors, and sales & marketing teams.
• Help develop technical marketing materials for customer engagement.
• Partner with the Product Development team to deliver products that meet market needs and add value to Eastman.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, PhD, or MSc in Polymer Science or Engineering preferred.
• >10 years of industrial experience with plastic processing technologies.
• Knowledge of injection molding is required; experience with other plastic processing methods (e.g., extrusion blow molding, thermoforming) is appreciated.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; additional EU language skills are preferred.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
