Technical Writer (all genders)

Your missions

• Create S1000D-compliant Data Modules, including descriptive, operational, maintenance, and IPD content.
• Work with engineering teams to collect and verify technical information.
• Translate complex engineering data into clear, user-friendly documentation.
• Manage document version control throughout product and engineering change cycles.
• Support improvements to documentation processes, tools, and standards.
• Lead authoring activities for AMM, TSM, and IPC content related to your system or electrical WDM.
• Review drawings and design changes to determine impacts on maintenance manuals.
• Plan, verify, and incorporate source data effectively.
• Coordinate with Design Offices, challenging inputs when needed.
• Facilitate regular review meetings with internal teams
• Deliver documentation updates on time and in line with quality, schedule, and budget targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and technical data guidelines.
• Provide timely responses to customer queries and implement documentation updates as required.
• Recommend improvements to technical data processes and authoring activities.
• Support digital documentation initiatives as part of ongoing transformation programs.

Your profile

• Previous experience working as a Technical Author within engineering, defence, aerospace, industrial equipment, manufacturing, or a similar technical sector.
• Familiarity with aerospace standards such as ATA and ASD S1000D is a plus.
• Strong grounding in engineering concepts and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English, with the ability to tailor complex content for different audiences.
• German language proficiency is a plus
• Proficiency with authoring tools (such as Arbortext Editor, Adobe FrameMaker, and MS Word.)
• Familiarity with document management systems, change control, and version management best practices.
