Test & Train Management Engineer (for Validation Trains)

General:

The Engineer shall carry out supporting tasks for our customer in Nordics and DACH region.

Tasks:

• Ensure that the validation train is in the right condition, to the right time, on the right place, in the right configuration available to perform activites on the behalf of the Train Validation Engineer (TVE). This task includes the following sub-tasks:

• Technical supervision/preparation of validation train regarding to the needs of the (TVE).

• Ensure that the Validation train is in the right mechanical and electrical configuration (as requested from TVE or the test laboratory or the "Engineering Organization" like Train Performance Manager or Train System Engineer).
• Ensure that the correct/requested Software configuration is uploaded on the train (Configuration will be given by TVE).
• Support TVE for the validation planning incl. planning of test sites of the validation train inside and outside the site
• Technical supervision of validation train during test and other activities inside / outside the site
• Technical support of activities done by other Metiers like Train System, Train Design, Train Control (start of train, preparation of external power supply, change of configuration on behalf of the TVE, etc.)
• Technical support of activities done by third parties like external test laboratories (start of train, preparation of external power supply, change of configuration on behalf of the TVE, etc.)

Conditions for the position:

• Good to very good command of written and spoken English

• Willingness to work flexibly in different locations (mainly Germany, Norway)

• Willingness to adapt to the needs of the projects/infrastructure when it comes to shift work (early, late, night shift), for example

• Willingness to work on weekends if necessary

• Willingness to work both practically on the vehicle and organizationally in the office

• Willingness to be 100% on site
