What You'll Do On a Typical Day

Develop local Engineering strategy

• Develop the Engineering organization aligned to the business needs and overall subsidiary strategy.
• Support Product Management with technical expertise regarding temporary works topics.

Engineering performance and processes

• Track engineering KPIs and pro‑actively work towards improvement by initiating and driving improvement projects.
• Ensure engineering quality assurance and safety standards in subsidiaries, aligned with PERI policies and standards.

Project management

• Cooperate with subsidiary management team for project prioritization on local level (based on technical complexity, size, strategic value, risk analysis etc.) and plan engineering resources accordingly.
• Pro‑actively manage key projects (in cooperation with other departments).

Coordination & communication

• Coordination of interfaces with other departments.
• Align engineering organization and strategy to market requirements.

What You'll Need To Be Successful

• Degree in Civil, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of work experience in construction (preferable experience in temporary systems) and several years of experience in a leadership role.
• Strong technical understanding and experience in construction projects and standards.
• Excellent leadership and organizational competencies.
• BricsCAD or AutoCAD (or similar) operating skills / experience is essential.
• Fluent in Mandarin and advanced knowledge in English – both oral and written.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain a good working relationship at all levels.
• Intercultural awareness and competence: ability to effectively interact, communicate and collaborate with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
