Title Examiner / Senior Title Analyst

The Senior Title Examiner / Analyst is responsible for conducting complex title searches, analyzing full chains of title, and identifying legal risks, encumbrances, and defects. This role requires a high level of expertise in reviewing deeds, mortgages, liens, easements, and probate records, as well as preparing accurate and compliant title reports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct complex and detailed title examinations, including full chain-of-title analysis
• Review and interpret deeds, mortgages, liens, easements, probate, and court records
• Identify and resolve title defects, discrepancies, and potential risks
• Prepare accurate, compliant, and client‑ready title reports
• Apply jurisdiction‑specific title standards (e.g., Massachusetts title practices)
• Communicate findings clearly to attorneys, clients, and internal teams
• Manage multiple orders while meeting turnaround expectations

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in title examination or title analysis
• Strong expertise in chain‑of‑title review and document interpretation
• Experience with Massachusetts title standards preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience working with title software, registries, and online systems
