As a Trainee Purchasing & Lifecycle Management Van, you will work at the interface of Purchasing, Engineering, Cost Planning, Production and Project Management, gaining insights into the entire vehicle lifecycle for Mercedes‑Benz Vans. You will support future and ongoing series projects from strategy and supplier nomination to tendering, awards, change management and phase‑out.

Your tasks include coordinating cross‑functional activities, contributing to procurement strategy, and developing processes and tools for collaboration with internal partners and suppliers. You will ensure timely, cost‑efficient supplier nominations and changes, identify risks and synergies, support localisation, and facilitate knowledge transfer across global production sites, especially in China.

Qualifications

• An above‑average degree (master, MBA or doctorate)in Engineering, Business Administration, or comparable course of study
• Maximum of 3 years of professional experience (apart from studies)
• At least 3 months of experience abroad (study, international internship, work and travel)
• Strong affinity for digital technologies and enthusiasm for future trends

• Excellent English skills (C1) and German (B2)
• You are eager to shape the transformation at Mercedes‑Benz and take responsibility
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with exceptional analytical abilities
• You demonstrate strong teamwork skills who motivates others to achieve their goals
