Requirements

• Active RN License or Active LPN License
• Degree from an accredited nursing program

• Other requirements are to be determined by our client’s facility

Duty Responsibilities

Long‑term care nurses provide extended care to patients living with disabilities or suffering from progressive or chronic illnesses. The specialized nurse often works with the elderly and others who need assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing and dressing, and other duties, including recording vital signs and administering medications.

• Complete assignments made by physicians.
• Provide routine treatment.
• Assess changes in the patient’s health status and perform various treatments.
• Administer medication.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of medication and treatment administration to ensure continuity of care among nursing staff, physicians, and other treatment team members.
