The Institute for Sport and Exercise Sciences (Department of Sport Psychology) at the University of Münster, Germany is seeking to fill the position of a University Lecturer. The position is to commence on 1 September 2026 or later. We are offering this full‑time position (100 %) for a period of 24 months. Full‑time lecturers are required to teach 12–16 hours per week during the semester.

The term of employment is limited in accordance with § 14 (2) of the Part‑Time Work and Fixed‑Term Employment Law (TzBfG). The legal provisions stipulate that the university can only consider applicants who have not previously been employed at the University of Münster in a permanent or fixed‑term capacity.

• The successful candidate will have teaching responsibilities in the B.Sc. program ‘Human Movement in Sports and Exercise’ and M.S. program ‘Sports, Exercise and Human Performance’ in the field of sport psychology and research methods. Lectures and seminars will be exclusively conducted in English.
• Job obligations include teaching 6–8 classes per week (2 hrs each per week).
• Responsibility for administering exams.
• Additional administrative tasks depending on the amount of teaching hours.
• Applicants must hold a master’s or equivalent degree in Sport or Exercise Science or a related subject (for example, Psychology). PhD holders in the same subjects will also be considered.
• Applicants are required to have a very good command of English, both written and spoken. German language skills would be advantageous but are not a requirement.
• Applicants are expected to have excellent knowledge of and skills in research methods, in particular related to statistics and experimental design and sport psychological research (focused, for example, on expertise, perception and attention, social influences on performance and decisions, motivation and emotion, or motor learning).
• Prior experience in teaching courses is advantageous.
• Interest in further academic qualification is appreciated.
