Upper School English Language Acquisition/EAL Teacher

The International School of Stuttgart e.V. is a non‑profit Kindergarten through 12th grade, NEASC accredited, IB World School offering an international curriculum to a student body of about 880 from over 40 nations. Among its strengths are its student‑centred and holistic approach to learning and its commitment to professional development and emphasis on student pastoral care.

ISS is looking to hire a qualified Upper School English Language Acquisition/EAL Teacher (ALL GENDER).

Full‑time, starting in August 2026. This position is initially for one year.

Candidates will have at least a bachelor’s degree and a qualified teacher status and should also have:

• Experience teaching English Language Acquisition across the MYP
• Be committed to a collaborative approach to working with colleagues
• Have a strong commitment to the values of international education
• Have up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with, and the protection of, children and young people
• Display commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people
• Value and respect the views and needs of children and young people

The following would be an advantage:

• Experience in using technology in the classroom
• Experience in curriculum development and documentation
• The ability to teach MYP English Language Acquisition (Language A) and/or English as an Additional Language
• Take on the role of homeroom teacher, if required
