This role involves leading the redesign of a web-based order management system used by hospitals and radiology practices for teleradiology services. The primary objective is to transform a complex, error‑prone interface into a modern, intuitive, and professional user experience that streamlines radiology request submissions and management. The project includes reimagining four core screens—Information Entry, Confirmation, Radiologist Review, and Decision Display—based on an existing click‑dummy prototype. You will also enhance and animate an AI‑generated avatar to guide users and provide real‑time feedback throughout the workflow. The new interface must be visually appealing, support both light and dark modes, and be fully responsive for desktop and mobile. Collaboration with an in‑house front‑end developer is required, and the engagement will be hybrid in Berlin, Germany, with the possibility of future projects.

Responsibilities

• Redesign the user interface for a teleradiology order management web application, focusing on usability and visual appeal
• Refine and animate an AI‑generated avatar to assist users and provide workflow feedback
• Ensure the interface is consistent with the existing Philips application while introducing a distinct, modern look
• Develop responsive designs for both desktop and mobile platforms, supporting light and dark modes
• Collaborate closely with the in‑house front‑end developer to ensure seamless implementation
• Conduct usability reviews and iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders
• Prepare and deliver all necessary design assets and documentation for development handoff

Skills And Requirements

• Proven experience in UI/UX design for complex web applications, ideally in healthcare or related sectors
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user‑centered design, visual design, and interaction design
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
• Experience creating and animating avatars or interactive UI elements
• Deep understanding of responsive design principles and accessibility standards
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting in Berlin, Germany
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a detail‑oriented and problem‑solving mindset
• Familiarity with usability testing and iterative design processes
