Utilities Program Manager

My clients' Utilities practice is experiencing significant growth driven by projects in system implementation and deployment of GIS-based solutions. We anticipate numerous projects in the German region. In this regard, we are seeking a Sr. Consultant with the following responsibilities:

1. Understand the development in various commercial GIS platforms (preferably Esri UN) and ensure that the company's implementations and GIS solutions align with these platforms.
2. Understand customer requirements in GIS implementation and integration programs, and accordingly:
   • Work with the sales team to instill confidence in customers about the company's technical capabilities.
   • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to develop proposals and secure bids.
   • After contract award, work with delivery teams and customers to enable successful project execution.
   • Serve as a collaborator between the company and customer teams.
3. Enhance system integration practices, frameworks, methodologies, and reusable components for robust implementations, with a specific focus on Esri UN framework.
4. Network with OEMs (Esri & GE) and act as a brand ambassador for the company in various technology forums by demonstrating thought leadership.
5. At the project level, work on developing and validating architecture, support resolution of complex technical issues, and assist in planning to ensure project/program goals are met.

Desired Characteristics:

1. Strong knowledge of the GIS domain, with specific expertise in Esri UN and GE Smallworld.
2. Good GIS background, preferably with development experience.
3. Excellent communication skills in both German and English.
4. A highly collaborative team player committed to the success of the program by owning the technical outcomes.
5. Willingness to travel within Europe to represent the company at workshops, contract meetings, and trade shows.
6. Flexible working hours to accommodate meetings with stakeholders globally, especially with delivery teams in India.
