Smalt is the AI-first backoffice and growth engine empowering skilled tradespeople to become entrepreneurs. We help craftsmen launch and grow their own businesses by providing a digital backoffice - from company setup and registration to invoicing, documentation, and growth tools.
Since our founding in 2023, we’ve raised €12M from top global VCs (General Catalyst, Owl Ventures, noa & others) and built strong revenue traction (€4–5M) through our integrated service delivery business.
and we’re seeking a Venture Development Manager (m/f/d) who will support our partner craft businesses (Handwerksbetriebe & Neugründungen) grow their top line. This role is crucial to the success of smalt’s business; only if our partners are successful themselves will smalt be able to grow its revenue share model. The role combines commercial strategy, marketing experimentation, and hands‑on activation to make our partners successful. You will work at the intersection of operations, marketing, and technology – driving growth, testing playbooks, and shaping how Smalt empowers trades entrepreneurs to scale.
As a Venture Development Manager (m/f/d) at Smalt , you’ll work directly with our leadership team to scale our network of Meister‑led craft partners (electrical, PV, SHK, roofing, etc.). You’ll onboard new partners, improve their commercial and administrative processes, and design the automations that power their growth.
This hybrid role blends operations, strategy, and enablement – perfect for ambitious early‑career professionals who want to learn how to build and scale a high‑growth tech company from the inside. You’ll act as a sparring partner to our founders, shape Smalt’s operating playbook, and directly contribute to our mission of enabling thousands of new craft entrepreneurs across Europe.
