Vice President Strategy & Innovation (f/m/d)

You can work remotely or at our location(s) in Heidelberg, Hamburg, Berlin, Thale, Magdeburg or Munich.

We are looking for a visionary Vice President Strategy & Innovation to shape and drive strategic innovation across our global software organization. This role calls for a leader with a sharp, hypothesis‑driven mindset who is ready to step into a hands‑on operational executive position.

You will own the discovery and acceleration of new growth opportunities. You will break down complex markets, analyse competitive dynamics, and turn insights into actionable strategies. Working closely with Product Management, Development, Sales, and the executive team, you will ensure innovation translates into measurable business impact.

Your Mission: Join our team!

Analyze global markets for data transformation, AI/automation, and adjacent software
Identify trends, opportunities, and risks; build market and competitive models
Support the innovation roadmap and prioritise new product and business concepts
Validate ideas through structured testing and cross‑functional collaboration
Translate strategy into initiatives with clear KPIs and milestones
Influence build/buy/partner decisions and next‑gen platform development
Build relationships with analysts, partners, and customers to maintain a strong connection to the voices that shape the market
Represent the company in strategic forums and foster a culture of innovation

What we are looking for: Your profile

Over 10 years of experience in strategy consulting, market intelligence, corporate strategy, or innovation leadership roles
Strong understanding of enterprise software markets, ideally ERP, data transformation, integration, analytics, or automation
Demonstrated ability to break down complex markets, synthesize insights, and create compelling strategic recommendations
Proven track record leading cross‑functional initiatives from concept to execution
Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action, experimentation, and measurable impact
Excellent English communication skills (mandatory), German is a plus
