Stellenbeschreibung:

VIE - Project Quality and Safety Manager (f/m/d)

At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Could you be the full-time VIE - Project Quality and Safety Manager (f/m/d) in Bautzen we’re looking for?

Your Future Role

In Bautzen, 1,200 colleagues manufacture S-Bahn, tram, and light rail vehicles, as well as high-speed trains, with a focus on final assembly, commissioning, and delivery. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. You’ll report to Michael BECKER and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

Take on a new challenge and apply your quality management and supplier performance expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and dynamic teammates.

You'll be at the forefront of ensuring supplier quality and driving continuous improvement in our operations. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as SPQD, supply chain, and incoming inspectors), manage non-conformities, and oversee containment actions, among other responsibilities.

You’ll specifically take care of supplier non-conformities and lead incoming inspection activities but also drive supplier performance improvement initiatives.

We’ll look for you to :

  • Managing non-conformities, including informing suppliers, implementing securitization, and invoicing costs of non-quality (CONQ S1);
  • Organizing retrofit actions and quality wall implementations when necessary;
  • Securing and enforcing supplier corrective and preventive action plans;
  • Driving supplier improvement roadmaps for non-performing suppliers;
  • Conducting inspections for low-critical parts and ensuring control plan sustainability;
  • Leading incoming inspection activities, including managing a team of inspectors and ensuring compliance with defined control plans.

All About You

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field;
  • Experience or understanding of supplier quality management and non-conformity processes;
  • Knowledge of quality control tools and methodologies;
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and control plans;
  • A certification in quality management or a related area;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.

Things You’ll Enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Experience a dynamic work environment with a permanent position at a leading company for green mobility
  • Enjoy a competitive remuneration package (collective agreeement), 30 days of vacation, and benefits such as company pension plans and subsidized “Deutschlandticket” (Job Ticket)
  • Optimise work-life balance with flexible working hours and hybrid working models
  • Explore growth opportunities and steer your career across functions and countries
  • Benefit from excellent training opportunities through our award-winning Alstom University and participate in the company's innovation culture through idea management programmes
  • Thrive in a modern and collaborative workplace featuring mentor and buddy programs, diversity & inclusion initiatives, CSR activities, and engaging employee events
  • Enjoy a comprehensive corporate health management with various initiatives such as health days, massages, etc.
  • Access to corporate benefits.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!

As an employer, Alstom stands for equal opportunities. By creating an inclusive work environment where all employees are encouraged to realise their full potential, individual differences are valued and respected. All applicants are considered solely on the basis of their qualifications, regardless of skin colour, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, ethnic and national origin, disability or other legally protected characteristics.
