Web Analytics Engineer (f/m/d)

smart Europe GmbH – Data & AI & Automation Team. The role can be performed remotely from within Germany, with regular visits in our Stuttgart HQ.

Your responsibilities:

Create web analytics implementation concepts and technical specifications
Understand business goals and convert them into data collection requirements
Implement dataLayer requirements
Implement 3rd‑party scripts required for marketing campaigns
Continuously increase reliability of web data collection
Governance for web‑related KPIs
Support advanced web data use cases like A/B testing
Support data platform team with relevant web metrics & KPIs

What you bring along:

Bachelor degree or above in e‑commerce / digital media / computer science / economics, or engineering
5+ years of experience in Digital Analytics focused on Lead Generation, e‑Commerce and/or CRO
5+ years of hands‑on data experience, with demonstrated increase of responsibilities over time
Solid understanding of state‑of‑the‑art digital analytics
Understanding business goals and converting them into data collection requirements
Creating implementation concepts and technical analytics specifications
Implementing the tracking through the tag manager required for accurate data collection
Knowledge of data & analytics toolchain such as Adobe Analytics / Adobe Experience Platform, Google Analytics (GA4)
Skills in setting up tracking concepts, solution designs and implementation instructions
Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of peers and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams
Set direction and approach, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages with grace, execute with limited information and ambiguity
Good written and oral communication skills in English, fluent in German or Mandarin or other; European is a plus
