About the project

This role involves building a secure, high-performance web application tailored for girls' high school basketball recruiting. The platform will empower players to manage their profiles and enable college coaches to access private evaluation tools linked to each player. The system must maintain strict privacy for coach notes, support two interconnected databases for players and coaches, and offer dynamic search and filtering across all player data. Monetization is a key component, requiring integration of monthly and yearly tiered subscriptions, payment gateways, and automated billing features. The application will provide distinct access levels for players, coaches, and administrators, with the public able to view limited player information. Fast page load times, especially for player cards, and robust export features are essential. The admin role will oversee player and billing management without access to confidential coach notes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a scalable web application with separate, secure databases for players and coaches
• Implement user authentication and role-based access controls for players, coaches, and administrators
• Build private evaluation tools for coaches, ensuring strict privacy for coach notes
• Integrate payment gateways to support tiered subscription models, discounts, and auto-renewal
• Develop dynamic search, filtering, and exportable player card features
• Optimize application for fast page load times, particularly for player cards
• Enable public access to limited player information while maintaining privacy for sensitive data
• Provide admin functionality for player and billing management, excluding access to coach notes
• Ensure data security, privacy compliance, and reliable performance throughout the platform

Skills And Requirements

• Proven experience in web application development, preferably with user management and subscription systems
• Proficiency in modern web frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js) and backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, or Ruby on Rails)
• Strong understanding of database design, security best practices, and privacy compliance
• Experience integrating payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) and managing subscription billing
• Ability to implement dynamic search, filtering, and data export features
• Familiarity with role-based access control and secure authentication methods
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to deliver fast, responsive user interfaces and optimize for performance
