Work Students - Electronics Assembly Operator

Your Role

Aperia Technologies Inc, a thriving venture funded automotive company based in the San Francisco Bay Area, is seeking Engineering Master’s Students to work in an office environment as Electronics Assembly Operator, supporting a 3-month project to update firmware on electronic devices.

Your Responsibilities

Ability to unbox/box devices.
Monitor up to 32 device updates at a time and take action based on device status.
Ability to read and interpret device status on software.
Setup Microsoft Windows display settings and/or multiple windows for optimal viewing.
Operate barcode scanner and perform QA check.
Maintain throughput over the course of an 8-hour day.
Identify and separate out failed units based on device status.
Ability to apply label/sticker to box.
Communicate as necessary with onsite personnel to get more units or have them pickup completed units.

Skills/Qualifications

Ability to follow work instructions.
English language proficiency (speaking, writing, reading).
Ability to understand basic device operation (e.g. what lights indicate, how to know a unit is in shipmode).
Ability to work with minimal supervision at times.
Familiarity with simple electronics (e.g. power supplies, wiring, connecting/disconnecting cables) is a Plus.
Ability to perform simple debugging (e.g. wiring disconnects, software problems) or report errors.
Proficiency with Windows command line and basic scripts (.bat files).

Hours: 8 hours a day, 5 days a week
