Xiaomi EV - Senior / Lead CMF Designer

Responsibilities

1. Design Leadership

• Lead and manage design projects, ensuring alignment with brand identity and project goals.
• Develop and present design concepts, sketches, and 3D models to stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers and interns.

2. Concept Development

• Create innovative and forward-thinking design concepts for both interior and exterior vehicle components.
• Conduct research and trend analysis to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with the design team to iterate and refine concepts.

3. Collaboration

• Work closely with engineering, product planning, and marketing teams to ensure design feasibility and integration.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Engage with suppliers and external partners to source materials and technologies.

4. Execution

• Develop detailed design specifications and CAD models for production.
• Oversee the development of prototypes and mock-ups.
• Ensure designs meet functional, aesthetic, and regulatory requirements.

5. Project Management

• Manage project timelines, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
• Maintain organized documentation of design processes and decisions.
• Communicate project status and progress to leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

1. Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.

2. Experience

Minimum of 7 years of experience in automotive design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.

3. Technical Skills

Proficiency in design software and other industry-standard tools.

4. Portfolio

A robust portfolio showcasing a range of innovative automotive designs and successful projects.

5. Communication Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.

6. Problem-Solving Skills

Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
