Zone Business Lead CEE (f/m/d)

Leading the Commercial Labs Solutions business, the Zone Business Lead (ZBL) acts as entrepreneur and is responsible for driving profitable growth and market share gains in multiple countries. Holds full profit and loss (P&L) accountability for direct and indirect markets.

The leader is accountable for strategic plans and business success of DX C-LS business in Zone. He/she will develop the commercial plan and strategies to strengthen the company's market position, drive accelerated revenue growth and improve customer intimacy and loyalty.

He/she is responsible for building, leading, and scaling a multifunctional team, sales, marketing, commercial excellence and customer excellence.

The ZBL reports directly to the Executive Vice President, Global Commercial Labs Solutions. Central Eastern Europe (CEE) includes Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Israel, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Switzerland, Turkey.

Hiring location needs to be within the CEE Zone.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the go-to-market (G2M) strategy as well as drive business success for the DX C-LS business in the Zone.
  • Manage the P&L of the DX C-LS business in the Zone, guide the Country Business Leads (CBL), and ensure that business objectives and targets are met and achieved.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high‑performing, culturally diverse global team, fostering collaboration, inclusion, and innovation.
  • Drive DX C-LS operational performance and advance CRM excellence, for example through product positioning, customer services, pricing, COGS, local costs, and resources, contribution margin, SG&A, gross profit, etc.
  • Focus on continuous improvement in customer satisfaction to enable successful retention and acquisition of new accounts.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key customers, global distributors, and industry stakeholders to drive growth, secure strategic partnerships, and identify new market opportunities.
  • Develop and execute long‑term strategic commercial plans for the DX C-LS business in the Zone, ensuring effective resource allocation, channel management, and alignment with local market dynamics.
  • Analyze global market trends, customer needs, regulatory changes, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to develop targeted commercial strategies.
  • Ensure transparent business planning and oversee strategic and operational risk management.
  • Create the strategy to elevate Siemens Healthineers’ brand, reputation, and market position; maximize synergies with Point of Care and other Business Areas across the Zone such as DI, AT, Varian, and US, to achieve business targets and embody the “One Healthineers” culture.
  • Ensure business continuity and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements of the business environment.
  • Recruit, develop, retain, and inspire a highly performing and engaged team, and build robust succession plans.
  • Manage budgets effectively, optimizing resource allocation across regions to maximize return on investment (ROI) and ensure financial discipline.

Qualifications

  • Over 15 years of experience and a proven track record in commercial management and general management roles, ideally complemented by strong marketing expertise.
  • Managed profit and loss responsibilities for healthcare-related revenue, particularly within diagnostics or mechatronics devices and consumables.
  • Led diverse teams across zones with more than 200 people, and preferably have international work experience.
  • Engage with C-level customers and government authorities, leveraging strong relationship management skills.
  • Consistently present and communicate effectively with customers, direct reports, and executive leadership within our company.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and quickly adapts to shifting priorities and evolving market conditions.
  • Fluent in both English and German.
