Sense The Power
Trench Group is a global leader in high-voltage power transmission components and systems. Headquartered in Berlin with over 100 years of experience, the company leads the portfolio of high-voltage power transmission components and systems. With product groups including bushings, coils, and instrument transformers, the company is a system-critical player in the energy transition and sustainable energy future. These intelligent and technologically advanced solutions are used for measurement, protection, and connection within the power grid. We operates globally with more than 2,500 employees across nine factory locations and four regional sales hubs.

Your Mission
You’ll be the driving force behind our sustainability transformation — turning bold ambitions into a measurable impact. Leading a passionate team of two direct reports and a global network of ten site ambassadors, you’ll bring our sustainability strategy to life. From crafting a compelling, transparent Sustainability Report to steering ESG disclosures, your work will shape how we lead with purpose. You’ll orchestrate cross-functional initiatives that push boundaries - whether it’s scaling our sustainable product portfolio or igniting change through immersive sustainability experiences at our global sites. This is your opportunity to embed sustainability at the heart of everything we do and inspire a culture of responsibility, innovation, and impact.

Your Tasks:

  • Lead Sustainability Strategy Execution: Champion the delivery of our sustainability roadmap, with a focus on decarbonization, resource efficiency, and circularity.
  • Sustainability Reporting : Own and manage the annual Sustainability Report, ensuring full compliance with CSRD, ESRS, and GHG Protocol standards, while maintaining transparency and credibility.
  • Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs): Oversee and guide LCAs to evaluate and reduce environmental impacts of products and processes, collaborating closely with engineering and product development teams.
  • Cross-Functional Project Leadership: Drive strategic initiatives such as expanding our sustainable product portfolio and organizing sustainability-focused events across global manufacturing sites.
  • Global Engagement : Lead and empower a network of sustainability ambassadors across all locations to foster a culture of environmental responsibility and share best practices.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Define and track key sustainability KPIs, monitor progress, and deliver insights and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: A Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven Experience: Demonstrated success in a sustainability leadership role, ideally within manufacturing, industrial, or product-centric environments.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of sustainability reporting standards and frameworks, including CSRD, ESRS, VSME, and the GHG Protocol.
  • LCA Proficiency: Hands‑on experience conducting and interpreting Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) to drive product and process improvements.
  • Project Leadership : Strong project management capabilities with a track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement : Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a talent for aligning diverse teams across functions and geographies.
  • Language Skills : Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in German is a plus.
  • Flexibility : Willingness to travel occasionally to global sites and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

We offer:

  • The opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of optical current measurement technology and sustainable energy transmission in an innovative company
  • You will work in a motivated team on forward‑looking projects and gain insights into the latest technologies
  • Flexible & Mobile Working Options
  • Subsidized Lunch & more
