System Engineer - Data Centers

Location: Berlin, Germany (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 remote)

About the Company: Our client is a global leader in fiber connectivity and data infrastructure solutions, supporting some of the world’s largest hyperscale and multi‑tenant data centers. Following strong EMEA growth, they’re expanding their Data Center Systems Engineering team in Berlin.

The Role: You’ll work hand‑in‑hand with sales, marketing, operations, and customers to design advanced fiber connectivity solutions for data centers across EMEA. The role offers real project variety, hands‑on engagement, and clear career growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop rack & elevation drawings, single‑line diagrams, and BOMs for large‑scale DC projects.
• Participate in network design discussions , offering technical guidance and customized solutions.
• Act as the technical link between internal stakeholders and clients.
• Conduct on‑site and virtual workshops (approx. 25% travel).
• Support project delivery from concept to deployment.

Requirements

• Engineering degree (Telecom, Electrical, or similar).
• 2–5 years’ experience in data center design, telecom infrastructure, or optical systems .
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English (additional European language is a plus).
