What You’ll Do & Who You Are
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Tax Manager (d/f/m) to join mobile.de and support our local Finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the company’s tax compliance, reporting, and planning processes. You’ll be involved in preparing various tax returns, conducting tax research, and contributing to ongoing tax strategy and optimization tax planning initiatives.
This is a hybrid position , offering the flexibility to work both remotely and from our Berlin-Charlottenburg office.
What You’ll Do

• Act as the main point of contact for all German tax matters, including corporate income tax (CIT), trade tax, and VAT.
• Prepare quarterly tax reporting packages, including calculations for current and deferred taxes.
• Review German tax declarations and returns prepared by our external tax compliance partner.
• Lead or contribute to tax-related projects, such as the insourcing of tax processes.
• Support the leadership team with ad-hoc tax-related queries and analysis.
• Manage and maintain relationships with local tax service providers and tax authorities.
  

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
• The ideal candidate will have a solid foundational understanding of tax principles, strong analytical skills, and a desire to grow within a corporate tax environment..
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a tax role within an international environment.
• Strong knowledge of German GAAP and hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
• Certified Tax Advisor or actively working toward certification will be a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English.
