Overview

Team Lead Advanced Component Development (f/m/d)

As the leader of the Advanced Component Development team, you will ensure that product development remains innovative, efficient, and aligned with customer needs. The engineering departments of the transformer factories serve as the primary customers for these development activities.

A Snapshot of Your Day The responsibilities include achieving business objectives, managing budgets, meeting quality and performance standards, and adhering to schedules. You will handle daily support requests and assist with the planning of long-term, multi-year product development projects. You will guide your team to work cohesively and achieve high performance.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Lead a global team in a research and development environment
• Adhere to the agile operating model (SAFe)
• Coordinate product development projects, including planning and reporting
• Implement best practices, process improvements and quality standards to enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with global sites to standardize processes and share guidelines
• Act as a reliable partner for the engineering departments of the transformer factories
• Drive key innovation projects and explore new fields of innovation
• Make product safety and zero-harm culture your top priority

What You Bring

• Education in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in engineering or project management
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills in a global environment
• Proven track record of successful leadership, preferably within a global organization
• Professional experience in international project management is preferable
• Willingness to work in and foster an agile development culture with excellent communication skills in English (fluent) and German (fluent)
• Ability to think strategically, drive innovation, and execute plans effectively
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the flexibility to adapt quickly to new needs
• Ability to travel as needed
