    The Position

    In Core Lab Development, you are an indispensable part of a dynamic and highly networked team that develops world-leading diagnostic solutions to sustainably improve patients' lives. Are you a passionate leading person with a deep understanding of systems and a drive to shape future diagnostics solutions?

    We are looking for an experienced and inspiring Team Lead Solution & System Definition (m/f/d) to lead, develop, and empower a team of experts. In this role, you will help define the strategic direction of our Core Lab solutions, drive technical excellence, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Leading and Developing Talent - You will lead a medium-sized team of experts specializing in system design, architecture, and requirements management. Through coaching and structured development plans, you will create a dynamic and innovative work environment. You value recognition and ensure structured onboarding aligned with internal standards.
    • System Design and Technical Leadership - Your team is responsible for defining and designing Core Lab solutions, including system concepts, requirements, specifications, and risk management. You ensure that all related quality and process documentation is complete and compliant with regulatory standards.
    • Operational Management and Performance Oversight - You will be accountable for your team’s performance, implementing clear goals, continuous feedback, and fostering an agile and collaborative team setup. You ensure compliance with training, processes, and legal standards while ensuring effective use of resources and infrastructure.
    • Strategic Alignment and Resource Management - In collaboration with other team leads and the sub-chapter lead, you will translate strategic objectives into operational activities and capability requirements. You actively contribute to resource planning, capability building, and knowledge sharing across Core Lab Development and R&D networks.
    • Change Leadership and Decision-Making - You will play an active role in driving organizational change, helping your team to navigate and embrace transformation. You make well-informed decisions aligned with departmental goals and cultivate a constructive approach to conflict resolution.

    Who You Are

    • You hold a university degree (Bachelor, Master, or PhD) in natural sciences, (system) engineering or a related field
    • You have at least 8 years of experience in the diagnostics industry or a related field
    • You are recognized for your inspiring leadership, strong ownership, and excellent coaching and mentoring skills
    • You bring strong expertise in IVD development, system architecture, requirements engineering, and risk management
    • You are familiar with regulatory frameworks (TÜV, FDA, NMPA) and capable of producing high-quality, compliant documentation
    • You collaborate effectively across functions and countries and manage complex stakeholder interfaces
