Technical certifier - Radio and EMC (m/f/d)

To strengthen our team in Reichenwalde (southeast of Berlin), we are looking for a highly motivated, professionally and personally convincing personality as a technical certifier.

The Eurofins E&E division is a specialist in wireless technologies and smart services for the Internet of Things with development and test centers in Germany, Switzerland, France, Great Britain, Finland, Italy, USA, P.R.C, Taiwan and South Korea. Eurofins Product Service GmbH E&E at Reichenwalde offers extensive know-how on product testing and certification in the areas of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), radio and wireless technologies, mechanical environmental simulation and electrical and mechanical product safety, enabling manufacturers and developers of products and devices access to local and global markets.

Job Description

• Evaluation and decision for certifications of radio products based on technical documentation, test reports and administrative requirements in accordance with legal requirements
• Scope includes Notified Body for Radio Equipment Directive (RED) and EMC Directive – EU market; Telecommunication Body (TCB) for FCC – US market; Foreign Certification Body (FCB) for ISED – Canadian Market
• Preparation of certification documentation and upload to certification database
• Interpretation of standards and regulations, mainly in English
• Communication with customers, certifiers, laboratory staff and authorities
• Support for accreditations and recognitions
• Development of new working documents

Qualifications

• Successfully completed scientific or engineering university or technical college studies in electrical engineering, communications engineering, mechanical engineering or similar
• At least 4 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, RF technology, electronics, EMC or mechanical engineering; in justified cases, equivalent knowledge
• Experience with TCB certification and/or testing tasks in relevant product category within a certification, testing, monitoring or calibration body as per DIN EN ISO/IEC 17000 series (desirable)
• Solid knowledge of legal and technical requirements for electrical and electronic products in radio and electromagnetic compatibility, or willingness to learn
• Practical experience applying product testing standards, directives and current interpretations
• IT knowledge and experience with databases desirable
• Organizational skills and reliability
• Language skills: German, English (business fluent)
