Position Summary


Due to recentgrowth, the companyis looking for Divisional Head Technical Sales to be responsible for driving technical sales in the Rubberbusiness , supporting our customers in Europe and developing new business opportunities that drive the company’s overall growth strategy and develop strategic business relationships with customers. This is a remote position in Germany with customer travels in Europe.

We are glad to be retained by a pioneering company in the carbon black industry for over six decades, as the largest carbon black manufacturer in India. The company has a significant emphasis on performance materials and specialty chemicals, solidifying its global presence with a substantial customer base spanning over 50 countries. Apart from five strategically located state-of-the-art plants, it has also set up R&D Centres in India and Belgium.


Responsibilities


New Business Development



  • Undertake customer visits to understand technical requirements and continuous communication with required teams.

  • Work with customers for development of new products/application.

  • Work with customers to give solutionsas per their needs, identifythe products from our range and work extensively through customer visits.

  • Identify grades to be offered to different customers by proper segmentation.

  • Enhance technicaland product application knowledge to recommendthe first time the right solution.

  • Conducting technical training for customers, sales teams and channel partners.

  • Organize Competitors’ samples for the rubber grades.

  • Coordination with Sales &marketing team for product launch.


Measurement


Sales volume from new identified customers and numbersof new product approvals.


Product Approvals



  • Facilitate approvalof company existingRubber grades.

  • Explore possibilities of value-added products/ application by way of educating them, to provide desired data/test results etc.

  • Taking Trials and establishing Processes at Customerend, On-site Troubleshooting, Routine Quality Check.

  • Co - ordination with R&D/ Manufacturing/ Process Technology to propose designof product including performance tests.


Measurement


Time taken for approval 100% first time right submission of sample.


Business Development



  • To develop new businessopportunities among existingand new customer/segments.

  • To generate new leads and developcustomer relationships.

  • To drive Business Development and marketing activities.

  • Understand customer’s business products, applications, manufacturing facilities and segments serviced.

  • Establish companygrades with a focus on brand identityand by differentiating quality &service.

  • Identifying and establishing channelpartners.

  • Market Intelligence: Continuous effortto gather information on competitor’s activities, new


Measurement


Number of development projects with customers and Regular proposals for new products based on customer insights.


To resolve customer complaint



  • Answer technical queries of customers in a structured and comprehensive way according to defined standards. Continuous response to customers on a regular basis.

  • Analyze and interpret resultsto solve customerissues.

  • Managing customer complaints.


Measurement


Number of customercomplaints on accountof quality and Customer’s feedback on resolution of complaint.


Requirements



  • Fluent German and intermediate English

  • Stream: Chemical Engineering

  • Degree: Qualification in Management preferred

  • Stream: Any

  • Minimum 5–6 years of experience in dealing with large corporates.

  • Minimum 10 years of Business Development (BD) experience.

  • Experience in dealing with large corporations (Govt and Private)

  • Experience and good networking in international markets

  • Technical understanding of Carbon Black and/ or Global Rubber Chemicals
