Business Development Manager – Personal Care (Germany – Frankfurt Area, Remote)

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you’ll take ownership of a new and growing territory in Germany with huge untapped potential. This is a hunter role: you’ll be responsible for opening doors, building a strong pipeline, and developing strategic customer relationships.

You’ll have the backing of a technical and account management team, but you’ll be expected to work autonomously, managing your own territory, travelling regularly (approx. 3 days per week on the road), and influencing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Driving new customer acquisition across personal care and cosmetic industries
  • Managing a significant pipeline of opportunities with a consultative sales approach
  • Selling value‑based solutions that go beyond price, backed by technical and service excellence
  • Building credibility with senior stakeholders in R&D, production, quality, and procurement
  • Collaborating across internal teams to ensure the right expertise is brought in at the right time
  • Representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and client sites

What We’re Looking For

Hard Skills

  • 6+ years of successful B2B technical or consultative sales experience
  • Strong network and knowledge within the personal care/cosmetics/health & beauty sector
  • A degree in engineering, science, or similar technical background
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)

Soft Skills

  • Hunter mindset: persistent, creative, and motivated to open new doors
  • Value‑based seller: skilled at articulating solutions beyond price and handling competitive pressures
  • Collaborative and influential: able to work across a matrix organisation and bring people together
