Technical Support Engineer

As the frontline responder to production issues, you’ll use your creativity, analytical thinking and commitment to quality to restore service and prevent recurrence. • Investigate, diagnose and troubleshoot client issues on the Gallup Access platform
• Gather information to identify root causes, make recommendations and resolve issues with minimal guidance
• Develop scripts in SQL to streamline processes for Gallup’s client support team
• Collaborate with internal teams to monitor trends and proactively address recurring issues
• Turn challenging situations into positive experiences for clients by delivering timely solutions

• Technical fluency: You understand the language of databases, monitoring tools and modern application stacks — and you’re eager to dive deeper.

• Degree in computer science, MIS or a related field — or equivalent professional experience — required
• Advanced proficiency in SQL required
• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB, Neptune, Redis) preferred
• Experience with application support and troubleshooting preferred
• Knowledge of web APIs and how modern applications communicate between services preferred
• Experience analyzing exception call stacks and error logs to investigate technical issues preferred
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools, such as Splunk or Dynatrace, preferred
• Proficiency in English required; must be able to communicate effectively with written and spoken English on day one
• Availability to work on-site at Gallup’s Berlin office at least three days a week required
• Eligibility to work in Germany required; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship
