This position will be on a 3-shift pattern including night shifts and weekends

Overview

What you will be doing:

Technical Rounds and Monitoring

Conduct regular inspections of data center equipment, including servers, cooling systems, power systems, and network infrastructure.
Record and log readings from critical systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Identify and escalate any anomalies or irregularities in equipment performance.

Alarm Response and Incident Management

Act as the first responder to data center alarms.
Investigate and troubleshoot issues promptly, following established protocols.
Escalate unresolved or critical issues to senior technicians or management as necessary.

Security and Access Control

Manage the issuance and tracking of security badges for data center access.
Verify identities and access permissions to ensure compliance with security policies.
Monitor and report any security-related incidents.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain detailed logs of activities, incidents, and maintenance tasks.
Provide regular reports on data center operations and any incidents encountered during shifts.

General Support

Assist with basic hardware installation and cabling as directed.
Support scheduled maintenance activities under the guidance of senior team members.

What We’re Looking For

Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new technical skills
Reliable, professional, and physically capable (ability to lift equipment safely)
Basic understanding of computers and mechanical/electrical systems
Good level of written and spoken English and German (B2)
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, structured environment
Participate in an on call rota in case of emergencies

Bonus Points

Interest in electrical, HVAC, or mechanical systems
Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, or facility maintenance
