Summary
HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a forward-thinking professional to lead and support digital transformation initiatives aligned with the mission and objectives of the United States European Command (USEUCOM). This role involves developing and executing tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs), and strategic roadmaps to drive modernization efforts. The candidate will assess the current technology landscape, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement innovative solutions with a focus on cloud computing, artificial intelligence, software development, and network and process automation. Additionally, the role includes evaluating emerging technologies and trends, and advising on their integration to enhance operational effectiveness across government functions.
What You Will Do
- Provide Technology Consulting and Leadership.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify challenges, understand requirements and objectives.
- Educate and inform government partners about technological advancements, industry best practices, and potential risks pertaining to military planning and geopolitical factors.
- Prepare and track correspondence, reports, and briefing materials and attend and maintain minutes from program meetings, as required.
- Apply systems engineering principles to break down USAFE requirements to development technology.
- Participate in strategy reviews and command-level planning meetings to advise USAFE leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
- Experience with DoD-level Mission Engineering activities.
- Knowledge of deep subject matter expertise in DoD mission, functional, or technology areas.
- Knowledge of USAFE/EUCOM mission set.
- IAT level III Certification, such as CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, CCSP.
- Demonstrated ability to take the initiative and solve problems; produce senior-officer level presentations, briefings, and background papers; provide detailed and well-researched reports.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute operations and exercises.
- Experience in working with senior DoD officials, including OSD and Joint Staff.
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of recent specialized experience; OR Recognized major industry certification with at least 7 years of recent specialized experience; OR A total of 11 years of recent specialized experience without a degree or certification.
- Wing-level or higher staff level experience as a prior commissioned officer in the US Air Force.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field. Advanced degrees preferred.
- Proven experience as a Technology Strategist or in a similar role, preferably within the US government or public sector.
- In-depth knowledge of technology trends, digital transformation, and emerging solutions, particularly cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics, and artificial intelligence.
- Familiarity with government policies, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable plans.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to navigate complex organizational structures.
