Description:
We are Proofinder, a global company specializing in mystery shopping, customer insight, and market research. We are seeking an experienced GEOINT/OSINT researcher to support a telecommunications market research project in Syria. The objective is to map and document physical infrastructure and operational assets of a major telecom operator using open-source intelligence (OSINT) and GEOINT methods only (no site visits).


Scope of Work:
The project requires the identification, verification, and mapping of the following asset types:
• Main headquarters and regional offices
• Retail branches / customer service centers
• Cell towers and signal repeaters
• Base Transceiver Stations (BTS)
• Switching centers
• Fiber optic hubs and microwave transmission points
• Data centers or server farms
• Equipment maintenance yards
• Emergency backup/control centers
• Network coverage footprint (2G, 3G, 4G/LTE)
• Any ongoing or planned expansion sites


Requirements:

• Proven expertise in OSINT/GEOINT research
• Experience with telecom infrastructure mapping
• Ability to use tools such as satellite imagery, public databases, leaked datasets, geotagged photos, crowd-sourced platforms, and media reports
• Strong GIS skills (GeoJSON, KML, Shapefile formats)
• Understanding of accuracy considerations, ethical guidelines, and data verification methods
