About the Role

We’re seeking a driven Territory Manager (Germany) to join our Scientific Division and grow Esco’s presence across the German life sciences market. You’ll be responsible for managing key customer relationships, developing new business opportunities, and representing Esco at client meetings, presentations, and exhibitions. This is a hands-on commercial role ideal for someone with strong scientific understanding and a passion for sales excellence.

Location: Germany (Field-based, with regular travel)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with existing customers across Germany
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities using market insights and competitor analysis
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations and proposals (email, phone, and face-to-face)
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with channel partners to grow sales and achieve mutual goals
  • Provide sales and marketing resources and information to ensure our channel partners can sell our products and services effectively
  • Conduct client visits, technical presentations, and workshops
  • Represent Esco at exhibitions, trade shows, and industry events
  • Coordinate with internal teams (factory, engineering, marketing, and service) to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Review client specifications and terms & conditions to ensure compliance and minimise risk
  • Maintain open and effective communication with our channel partners
  • Maintain accurate records in the Reddot CRM system
  • Provide sales forecasts, reports, and territory analyses
  • Work closely with the marketing team to increase brand awareness across the German market

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biology , or a related field
  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience (preferably in laboratory or scientific equipment)
  • Fluent German and good English communication skills
  • Strong sales skills, excellent negotiation skills, CRM use and ability to meet targets
  • Knowledge of laboratory workflows, biosafety cabinets, and EU/German standards (EN 12469, BSL levels)
  • Excellent planning, organised, customer focused, and good time management
  • Commercially aware, analytical, and self-motivated
  • Resilient, adaptable, and confident working independently
  • Willing to travel within Germany, valid driver’s licence
