Overview
For permanent employment, OHB System AG in Bremen is looking for a Thermal Engineer (m/f/d).
Your Tasks
- Design, sizing, verification and validation of thermal control systems according to customer requirements and feasibility with regard to manufacturing, integration, cost, schedule, quality and risk
- Thermal analysis including thermal modelling, verification, validation and assessment of analysis results
- Support of thermal hardware definition and its implementation and verification
- Support of reviews (from system to equipment level) and presentation of work results to internal and external customers
- Support of system engineers during design, development and implementation at system and sub-system level
- Preparation and execution of thermal tests in cooperation with AIT including creation of test specifications and definition of test conditions and test setup including ground support equipment as well as verification and validation of test results
- Generation and maintenance of thermal control system documentation
Your Qualifications
- Degree in engineering with a major in aerospace engineering or comparable qualifications
- Several years of professional experience in space thermal engineering is preferred
- Experience in the design of thermal control systems, spacecraft thermal engineering and analysis for spacecraft is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills
- High motivation and proactive involvement with a strong passion for space and spacecraft engineering
- Strong communication and negotiation skills (preferably English and German)
- Experience in subcontractor management is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of ESATAN-TMS, or a similar thermal analysis software
- Used to work in an international environment
