WordPress Developer - Urgent Fix Needed

We urgently need an experienced WordPress developer to analyze and fix a critical issue on our membership site.




Our Setup:

• WordPress
• Thrive Apprentice (for delivering online courses)
• Digimember (for other courses / membership products)
• Uncanny Automator (to automatically create users and assign them to courses)

⚡ Important: Thrive Apprentice and Digimember run independently – they are used for different courses.




The Issue:

• New users are automatically created and receive a password.
• In most cases, the password works correctly.
• In many cases, the password does not work, even though the user is entering exactly the password we sent them.
• This happens inconsistently and is creating a bad user experience.



Our Goal:

• Ensure that participants for all courses (Thrive Apprentice & Digimember) always receive 100% correct, working passwords.
• Identify the root cause (hashing issue, plugin conflict, overwriting between systems, email encoding, etc.).
• Implement a permanent fix or a reliable workaround (e.g., switching to a “set your password via link” flow).



Requirements:

• Strong WordPress expertise (especially user creation / wp_insert_user() process)
• Experience with membership/LMS plugins (ideally Thrive Apprentice and/or Digimember)
• Debugging skills (hooks, logs, plugin conflicts, race conditions)
• Ability to start immediately and deliver within 24–48h
