As the world’s most customisable and trusted open-source LMS, we partner with schools, universities, and organisations to create better learning experiences for millions. If you’re ready to make a real impact,  and be part of a global movement shaping the future of learning, join us let’s transform education together!

This role can be remote within Europe.

    About the Role

We’re looking for a UX/Graphic Designer to shape how Moodle is visually and experientially presented through our Demonstration Sites,  a key tool for showing the real-world impact of our solutions.

As part of the Sales Enablement team, you’ll blend user-first design thinking with strong visual design skills to create engaging, on-brand, and accessible experiences. You’ll be the bridge between creative and technical execution, ensuring our demo sites not only look great, but also guide users seamlessly through exploring Moodle’s capabilities.

You’ll work closely with Product, Marketing, and Sales to align visual storytelling with product value. As part of our open-source community, you’ll collaborate with global developers, Moodle Partners, and internal teams to ensure designs reflect best practice, accessibility standards, and the diversity of our audience.

    What You’ll Do
    In this role, you will:

    • Collaborate with the Demo Sites team, Product, Marketing, and Sales to design visually engaging, user-friendly, and accessible demo sites.
    • Apply user-centred design principles to create layouts, graphics, and UI elements that align with Moodle’s brand, messaging, and accessibility standards.
    • Develop creative concepts and high-quality visual assets (e.g., graphics, icons, banners, infographics) that elevate the demo site experience.
    • Iterate on designs based on stakeholder and user feedback, ensuring a consistent, high-quality look and feel across all demo site elements.
    • Contribute to and work with Moodle’s design system, maintaining consistency and scalability.
    • Gather insights through user feedback and research to refine visuals, layouts, and user flows.

    Requirements

We’d love to meet you if you have:

    • Proven experience in a graphic design or UX/UI role delivering high-quality digital designs for web-based experiences.
    • A strong portfolio demonstrating visual design skills, including layout, typography, colour, and branding.
    • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, marketing, development) to deliver cohesive design outputs.
    • Ability to translate brand guidelines into appealing, consistent digital assets
    • Familiarity with user-centred design principles and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG), applying them to improve usability.
    • Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite).
    • Strong communication skills to present design ideas and rationale clearly.

    Bonus points if you have:

    • Experience with learning platforms (LMS, LXP) or in an EdTech/SaaS environment.
    • Familiarity with Moodle or similar open-source platforms.
    • Understanding of design systems and component libraries.
    • Basic HTML/CSS skills for light visual customisation.
    • Experience with user research and usability testing.
    • Knowledge of designing for multilingual/multi-audience environments.
