Vehicle Testing Engineer

Job Description

• Conduct vehicle testing and commissioning according to project requirements.
• Plan, execute, and document functional and performance tests.
• Define and manage vehicle test routes and location logistics.
• Perform control unit software updates, flashing, and maintenance activities.
• Execute measurement and test drive procedures in alignment with safety and quality standards.
• Analyze test data and prepare technical documentation and reports.
• Ensure compliance with Euro NCAP testing protocols and procedures.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of vehicle testing processes and system commissioning.
• Knowledge of Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and their architecture.
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet).
• Experience using automotive testing tools such as Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, ETAS INCA, ODX/OTX tools, DTS Monaco, or OEM-specific flashing tools.
• Understanding of diagnostic protocols including UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services) and OBD-II.
• Ability to interpret and work with DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes).
• Hands-on experience with VCI tools (e.g., Bosch MTS 6531, Vector VN series, Kvaser).
• Strong analytical and documentation skills with attention to detail.
