Client Description:

Our client is a fast‑scaling European SaaS company, privately owned and recognised as a market leader in digital management solutions.

Founded over ten years ago, the business has grown rapidly across major European markets and now employs close to 1,000 professionals.

The company operates through a fully localised subsidiary in Berlin, with approximately 100 employees and a strong, independent market presence.

Despite high product performance and accelerated success in France, Italy, and other markets, the German sales organisation has underperformed relative to its commercial potential.

This interim executive leadership assignment has been created to provide immediate stability, protect revenue pipelines, and ensure operational continuity during a critical transition.

The interim Sales VP will work under the strategic oversight of the Group Chief Sales & Customer Officer, with a clear focus on team cohesion, performance retention, and seamless handover at the end of the interim project.

  • Lead and manage a medium‑size team across direct sales, partnerships, and business development
  • Safeguard and develop pipeline momentum and internal team structure during leadership handover
  • Reinforce local presence and credibility within the Berlin‑based commercial organisation
  • Operate within a pan‑European, matrixed SaaS sales structure with defined functional interfaces
  • Act as a stabilising force while ensuring cultural alignment and business growth acceleration
  • Prepare the organisation for a smooth and professional transition to a permanent Sales VP
  • Former VP Sales, Commercial Director, or Country Manager with enterprise or mid‑market SaaS background
  • Track record of leading regional commercial teams in Germany, ideally in a matrixed tech organisation
  • Fluent in English and German, with a hands‑on, visible leadership style suited to junior and fast‑growing teams
  • Skilled in managing sales acquisition processes from prospecting to customer handover
  • Brings operational steadiness, cultural sensitivity, and emotional intelligence to high‑change environments
  • Comfortable with interim mandates focused on continuity and transition rather than transformation
  • Able to reinforce team trust, prevent disruption, and represent the brand with professionalism

Requirement 01: German market leadership with Berlin‑based presence

Requirement 02: Proven interim executive sales leadership within SaaS or B2B software

Requirement 03: Fluent in GERMAN and English
