Responsibilities
- Ensure that applicable processes and standards are known and applied by Engineering teams.
- Promote the references to be used in tenders, projects and programs, such as APSYS, DTRF, EI, Reference solutions, …
- Support the PrQSM / PQSM / QMS to perform engineering audit / inspection (under the internal audit governance) to check adherence to processes and standards, such as Verification, Validation, and Requirement management.
- Alert the relevant process owners or correspondents in case of process deviation and monitor corrective actions.
- Support process owners to perform transversal analysis (using sources like audit and inspection findings).
- Challenge the engineering strategies by reviewing the Engineering Management Plans (e.g. technical reviews, delivery plan).
- Ensure deployment of Critical Item Assessment (CIA) or Critical Technical Topic (CTT) activities during tender, project, and programs, including: defining the relevant Design Review list and DFMEA; selecting DFMEA leaders and Design Review experts; ensuring that Design Reviews, DFMEAs and their stakeholders are reflected in project/program management plans.
- Make sure that Design Reviews (DR) and other technical reviews are efficiently held (during tender, project and program): check quality status of Engineering deliverables, ensure DRs are prepared with the expected Quorum, feed the GR process, and ensure DR checklists are used with evidences and due dates.
- In RS activities, chair concepts and Go specs with the expected Quorum to feed tender processes.
- Ensure that DR reports are released, circulated and used to feed Development for Quality (DFQ) checklists; follow action plans and update DR status.
- Ensure DFMEAs are deployed in each project: ensure participation during DFMEA according to related management plans; ensure DFMEAs are performed before respective Preliminary Gate Review (PGR) and actions implemented at Critical Gate Review (CGR); control DFMEA action plans and RPN re-evaluation before relevant DFQ milestones.
- Manage Engineering Quality issues: ensure issues detected in design review or DFMEA are addressed with actions and resolved in time; use ESLI; ensure ESLI routines are conducted and progress/evidences are updated; open Kx in PST for modifications with significant cost impact when needed; include Engineering team in customer issue solving; contribute to transversal analysis of engineering issues; lead improvements related to Return of Experience (REX) and feed improvements to design review check lists and DFQ check lists.
- Lead local REX committee and propose return of experience; monitor recurrence in project execution with non-recurrence lists; contribute to Lean & Right First Time Engineering Processes.

- Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
- Fluent in English
- Experience or understanding of engineering quality management and products quality data management
- Knowledge of quality control tools and methodologies
- Familiarity with ERP systems and control plans
- A certification in quality management or a related area
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
- Rigorous and able to deal with different projects and missions. Proactive.
- Ability to perform audits / inspections
- Ability to perform risk analysis (DFMEA, etc.)
- Knowledge of problem-solving methods and tools (QRQC / PDCA / 8D methodology / Root cause analysis tools)
- Knowledge of Alstom quality and engineering standards
- Team working in a complex organization environment
