Responsibilities

• Research focus on development of sustainable and resilient water systems and infrastructures, combining engineering innovation, holistic systems thinking and collaborative governance to investigate water security at local and global scales from an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary sustainability perspective.
• Teach across German and English in a 50/50 distribution between sustainability-related degree programs and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, including innovative project-based teaching formats.
• Publish with international visibility in pertinent journals and present at conferences; contribute to acquiring third-party funding.
• Engage in transdisciplinary collaboration with societal actors to develop new forms of cooperation and governance for water systems and infrastructure.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Qualifications demonstrated through habilitation or equivalent scientific achievements (67, 68 HessHG apply).
• Proven track record in research and teaching in sustainable and transformative water systems engineering.
