Warranty Engineer (m/f/d)

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and warranty requirements of our customer and for controlling, monitoring and improving warranty process in the EU region. As an interface to production plants you will be responsible for the market observation and to drive warranty cost reduction negotiations. In this function you will report to the Operations Quality Manager.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Manage OEM warranty targets and global targets
• Monitor and evaluate all field data from customers to ensure an overall market observation
• Negotiate with OEM the technical factor for warranty based on market observation
• Coordinate warranty action plans with plant project teams, engineering and supplier
• Manage customer warranty returns
• Ensure timely analysis & reporting to customer via 8D-report or customer specific method
• Drive warranty reduction projects to increase the robustness of our products and decrease the cost impact of warranty

Profile and Qualifications:

• University degree in mechanical engineering / physics / materials engineering or comparable education
• At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of quality in the automotive industry as a plus with experience in the warranty management
• Knowledge of the Automotive Core Tools (e.g. 8D, Ishikawa, Pareto)
• Knowledge of the Automotive Standards: IATF 16949:2016, VDA-Standards
• Result-oriented approach and good communication skills in German and English
• 30 days of annuals leave
