Wave-optics Design Expert (m/f/d)

We are seeking a skilled candidate in wave‑optics design for holographic optics element or metasurfaces in the fields of optical display, picture generation unit, and Lidar in vehicle.

Your mission

• Perform research and design work in wave‑optics for holographic optics elements (HOE) and metasurfaces in optical displays, picture generation units, and Lidar systems.
• Analyze application requirements, design solutions, conduct system simulation, and advance to proof of concept and prototyping.
• Stay abreast of business background and advanced technologies in relevant fields, exploring new directions.
• Collaborate extensively with team members and other departments, leveraging top industry resources to achieve business objectives.

Your areas of expertise

• Proven experience designing and developing HOE and/or metasurface devices for optical beam shaping, polarization conversion, and imaging.
• Strong theoretical knowledge in wave optics, basic geometry optics, and a Ph.D. in optics‑related fields is preferred.
• Proficiency with optical design and simulation software such as VirtualLab, FDTD, Comsol, Zemax, LightTools, CodeV, etc. Programming skills in Python and/or MATLAB are a plus.
• Excellent problem‑identification, analysis, and solution skills with a systematic, goal‑oriented work approach.
• Fluent communication in English and enthusiasm to work in an international team.
