ConditionsFull-time position: 40 hours per week.Initial contract duration: 18 months, with two possible extensions of 18 months each.Start: January 2026 (Calendar Week 1/2026).Work is primarily remote, with 10-20% on-site presence required.Work must be performed from within Germany.Occasional business travel within Bavaria may be required; travel expenses are covered OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Web Developer to join a software development project focused on modernizing an existing system into a future-proof web application. The role involves implementing technical and functional requirements, contributing to technical concepts, and ensuring proper documentation. ResponsibilitiesParticipate as part of the software development team in system redevelopment.Independently implement technical and functional requirements as well as change requests.Actively contribute to technical design and provide consulting input.Ensure all required documentation, including technical concepts, interface descriptions, and user manuals, is completed.Collaborate in project meetings, reviews, and technical discussions, conducted in German. RequirementsIdeally, prior experience in VB6 development.Solid experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.Proficiency in SQL, HTML, and CSS.Confident use of external JavaScript libraries.Strong understanding of complex system architectures and database design.Ability to work efficiently in a team while also solving problems independently.Strong analytical and communication skills for explaining technical concepts clearly.Self-directed approach to assigned tasks.Ideally, familiarity with public administration processes and structures.Project experience in public administration is a plus.Knowledge of benefits accounting regulations is advantageous.German language proficiency at C1 level (CEFR) is required; English skills are desirable.
