Overview

Workday Technical Advisory, Solution Architect Consultant - EMEA. Our Professional Services Consulting teams are driven by a passion for our products and the success of our customers in implementing our cloud solutions. We’re a diverse group located across multiple locations within the region.

Responsibilities

• Define the overarching technical strategy for complex system integrations between Workday and a customer’s enterprise architecture.
• Lead end-to-end deployment of technical integrations, leveraging Workday’s ESB technology, and serve as the primary advisor on technical architecture and best practices.
• Translate high-level business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure architectural decisions. Design, build, and deploy integrations into production environments.
• Lead critical discussions around integration enterprise architecture, application security, and system authentication; act as the lead technical point of contact with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Manage multiple, concurrent customer engagements and mentor other consultants.
• Focus on strategic leadership, advanced solution design, and mentorship; take on a leadership role early in the engagement.

Months Plan

• Months 1–6: Strategic immersion and certification — deepen Workday integration expertise and become a top-tier SME; lead technical strategy and design on a major project; translate goals into architectural design and mentor others.
• Months 6–24: Leadership, mentorship, and innovation — take ownership of technical solutions for multiple projects; mentor and coach junior and senior consultants; drive innovation and provide strategic direction to clients and team.

About You

This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strategic leadership, and extensive experience in a consulting capacity. We are seeking a seasoned professional who can immediately add value in a senior advisory position.

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience delivering complex enterprise business application projects, with a significant focus on Workday Core products and technologies
• 5+ years in a senior technical leadership, architect, or advisory role
• Advanced proficiency in enterprise integration patterns and technologies, including SOAP, REST, XML, XSLT, Java, .NET, or similar; subject matter expert in at least one
• Extensive experience with back-end web development and web services, including designing and optimizing APIs
• Fluent in English, with another major European language (French, German, Spanish, Italian) as a plus but not mandatory

Other Qualifications

• Proven track record as a Senior Technical Advisory / Solution Architect or similar leadership position within a consulting or software organization
• Deep expertise in integration patterns, data manipulation, and optimization techniques for performance
• Strategic problem-solver with a history of delivering exceptional results for high-profile clients
• Strong communication and presentation skills, able to articulate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Desire to stay current with technologies, mentor junior teammates, and contribute to the firm’s intellectual capital
• Resourceful and autonomous, able to lead projects from discovery to deployment in various settings (remote, on-site, hybrid)

Those in remote roles may come together in offices for important moments. We spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or with clients, depending on role.
