A growing international technology company in Mannheim is looking for an Accountant to support their Finance team and deliver Accounting for international entities.

The company is growing quickly and is setting up scalable accounting and finance processes, and transforming their Accounting Systems. Sitting in the established Accounting team, the Accountant will deliver daily, monthly, yearly accounting and bookkeeping and will ensure that processes such as month and year end close are delivered in a timely and compliant manner.

Your role:

• Financial Accounting at Local level for a range of entities and subsidiaries
• Preparing Financial Accounts according to HGB/German GAAP or IFRS, depending on entity location
• Delivering month end / Year end close activities
• Supporting financial audit and working with Auditors in German and English
• Liaising with German Steuerberater (Tax Accountants) and Audit teams in local language
• Accounts Receiveable, Bank Recs and Accounts Payable records reconciliation
• Recording transactions, posting journals, reconciling accounts across
• General Ledger Accounting, reconciliation and data cleansing

Your experience:

• Accountant with 3+ years' experience
• Fluent German and English
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, ideally German GAAP HGB and IFRS
• Prior experience as Bilanzbuchhalter / Steuerfachangestellte or in Financial Accounting or Audit
