Accountant (m/f/d) | Munich, Germany

Tasks and Responsibilities:

The Accountant supports the Manager Finance and Controlling by executing all necessary tasks to ensure adequate company accounting and reporting. This includes in particular:

• Independent posting of all business transactions: You are responsible for the accurate and independent posting of all financial transactions.
• Account reconciliation: You perform account reconciliations (balance sheet/income statement, subledgers), maintain master data, and execute electronic payment transactions.
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements: You prepare financial statements in accordance with commercial and tax law as well as IFRS and ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
• Tax returns: You will be responsible for preparing sales tax returns on time and prepare statements on sales tax issues with the relevant sales tax documents.
• Active participation in the implementation and further development of the ERP program SAP S/4HANA: You will play a role in the continuous optimization and digitization of accounting processes.
• Monitoring of petty cash and monthly travel expenses
• Support in miscellaneous accounting and administrative tasks such as archiving or storing

Required Qualification and Experience:

Required qualification and experience:

• University degree in a relevant field (Economics, Business Administration/ BWL, Accounting), Qualification as an accountant with certification and relevant work experience.
• At least three years of professional experience in accounting, particularly thorough knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting principles.
• Knowledge and experience in cash and assets accounting, and good understanding of tax and VAT matters
• Capacity to most effectively use office automation systems for accounting and controlling

• Fluent written and spoken German and English, knowledge of Italian is appreciated

It could be necessary to participate sporadically to meetings at European locations.
