Introduction to the Position

We are working with a leading German-speaking company looking for an experienced Accountant to join their team. This position will involve managing day-to-day accounting operations for a variety of entities, including the use of Workday Financials. You will be a key player in maintaining smooth financial processes and ensuring accuracy in accounting records. If you have experience in day-to-day accounting and a strong understanding of financial operations, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! This is a fully remote position. The head office is in Berlin.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting tasks for multiple entities
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing
• Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports in compliance with regulations
• Assist in preparing tax returns and other required filings
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Maintain accuracy in accounting records and financial transactions
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations
• Assist with Workday Financials-related tasks and system enhancements

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in accounting with a strong focus on day-to-day accounting tasks
• Proficiency in German (Fluent, both written and spoken)
• Hands-on experience with Workday Financials or similar ERP systems
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and regulations
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
