Alpadia Language Schools from Kaplan International Languages offers all-year round schools in Montreux, Berlin, Freiburg and Lyon, teaching French and German. Alpadia also provides English, French and German summer courses for juniors and teens in Europe and North America. Initially established in 1996, and now larger than ever, our mission is to encourage language development through immersion and to expand the horizons of our students, to inspire their future.
A summer job at Alpadia can be a crucial step for anyone who might be considering permanent employment in Germany in the future. Having worked at a highly esteemed company in the German‑Swiss education sector will make you stand out in the eyes of future employers. By the end of the summer, your resume could say:
Alpadia Language Schools, 2026
As a full‑time, seasonal staff member of Alpadia Language School’s language immersion camps, I served as group leader and language immersion guide for 13–17‑year‑old students coming from every continent. My 24‑hour responsibilities included supporting students’ social, emotional, and cultural development, designing and guiding excursions with 20–40 participants, facilitating diverse skill transfer through activities, child safeguarding and risk management. Working in an innovative, fast‑paced, highly collaborative work environment also allowed me to develop crucial competencies in solution‑focused conflict management, child development and language teaching.
Our Activity Leaders are responsible for delivering fun and engaging activities and excursions to a group of international students, following Alpadia’s innovative approach to language immersion and experiential learning. You will be working closely with other Activity Leaders and Teachers, ensuring our students have a meaningful, adventurous time in camp, full of learning and personal growth, while offering your expert supervision and safety. Additionally, you’ll take an active role in the day‑to‑day operations of camp via attendance checks, helping out during wake‑ups and bedtime, and leading camp‑wide Evening Programs.
Do you enjoy teamwork and working with children? Are you ready to get involved and have a new, enriching experience? Send us your application (CV and cover letter outlining how you will contribute to the success of our camp, and the kind of personal and professional growth you are looking for through the experience).
