As part of Finance Global Services, we develop the technological infrastructure on which Hannover Re relies to produce its actuarial calculations and reports worldwide. You can look forward to

Maintaining and further developing our actuarial systems, ensuring stability, modernization, and continuous enhancement of core functionalities.
Driving automation initiatives across calculation, reporting, and deployment processes using modern engineering practices such as CI/CD, automated testing, and modular architectures.
Actively contributing to strategic initiatives, helping to design and build the next generation of a unified, future‑proof actuarial platform.
Shaping a modern actuarial technology environment, where scalability, flexibility, maintainability, and API‑first principles guide the architecture and development approach.
Carrying out training sessions and knowledge‑sharing workshops to enable users and stakeholders to effectively work with the evolving actuarial system landscape.

You come equipped with

Professional experience in the field of actuarial science, software development or in (re)insurance.
Master's degree in (technical or business) mathematics or computer science.
Very good knowledge of a higher programming language, e.g. C#, C++, Python.
Strong SQL knowledge and experience with common software design principles.
Willingness to built up business knowledge for best service to our clients.
English at a business fluent level and German at a conversational level.
Conceptual skills and analytical thinking.
Confident demeanour towards internal and external stakeholders.
Enjoyment of working in a team environment.
