for the IT Hardware Service Department
in Cologne
(pay grade 11 TV-L)
in Department 14 – to start as soon as possible – permanent position

Your future area of responsibility: Head of IT Hardware Services
Department 14, with around 80 employees, is primarily responsible for information technology, digitization, eGovernment, and information security. The digital transformation of the state administration of North Rhine-Westphalia will require the expansion and restructuring of IT services and technical infrastructure in the coming years, which will serve as the basis for eGovernment core components and for central IT specialist procedures and IT services.

Your tasks


In Department 14, you will support the IT hardware service with a wide range of tasks

  • Cross-location organization of the IT hardware service (IT service office and IT workshop)
  • Hardware configuration and support
  • Support for data transmission networks
  • Trainer for the IT systems electronics technician profession

What you need to bring with you: The requirements profile

Technical

  • Completed degree at a university, university of applied sciences, or vocational academy with a major in computer science or a degree program with a proven focus on computer science

OR

  • Certified Operative Professional or Bachelor Professional IT or state-certified technician in computer science or electrical engineering with a focus on information/communication

OR

  • Completed training in a relevant IT profession corresponding to DQR 4 and many years of relevant and proven professional experience in information technology, as well as proof of further training as an IT specialist (IHK) or IT professional specialist (IHK)

All applicants must also have

  • Confident use of MS Office applications
  • Class B driver's license and willingness to drive a company car
  • IHK trainer qualification, or willingness to complete this qualification in the near future

The following additional skills are desirable

  • Professional experience as an organizational team leader without management responsibility
  • Relevant professional experience in the field of information technology

Personal

  • Very good written and spoken German language skills
  • High willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics at short notice or to deepen existing knowledge
  • You are assertive, resilient, confident, and reliable
  • You work in a customer-oriented, independent, responsible, and cost-conscious manner
