Today, we are currently recruiting several Airport Security Agents for the May 2026 session.

Your responsibilities

*Your main daily tasks

• Greet and control access for people and vehicles
• Inspect/screen people, carry‑on and checked baggage, items carried, supplies, and vehicles to detect prohibited items
• Perform manual security searches of people
• Conduct motorised or foot patrols and surveillance at the airport and around the airport perimeter
• Operate technical equipment used to perform the above tasks (RX machines, HHMD, WTMD, EDS, ETD, etc.)
• Report to the supervisor or their deputy in their absence any event or incident that could affect the smooth running of security operations
• Help with the integration of new employees

*Your other missions

• Participating in inclusion initiatives (e.g. Hidden Disabilities Sunflower project, for people with invisible disabilities).
• Participating in the integration of new employees
• Participating in waste sorting and energy saving through responsible behavior

The required profile Studies / training

9th year of schooling in Luxembourg or equivalent

IMPORTANT: lux-Airport will provide specific training for 5 weeks.

This training will be followed by a basic certification examination, validated by the Police Grand-Ducale.

Note: Successful completion of this training is compulsory in order to work as an airport security officer.

It requires personal commitment outside the course sessions in order to assimilate all the theoretical and practical knowledge required.

Experience

• Successful first professional experience, including an internship or work-study programme.
• Experience in the field, preferably in private and/or government security, would be an advantage.

Skills and knowledge required

*IT Tools

Mandatory: Microsoft Office suite

*Languages

Mandatory:

• French: fluent spoken and written (C1 minimum)
• English: operational level in the business (B1 minimum)

Nice-to-have:

• Luxembourgish / German: the knowledge of those languages would be an asset.

*Know‑how and interpersonal skills specific to the job

• Good customer contact and a collaborative professional attitude
• Ability to listen and manage complex situations with the public, while ensuring respect for all stakeholders (internal and external)
• Rigor and meticulousness in carrying out safety tasks and respecting the organisational framework
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Resilience to cope with the demands of the job
• Adaptability to regulatory changes, in particular by acquiring new knowledge

*Other

• Valid permanent B driving licence
• Criminal record extract
• The Police Grand-Ducale will carry out a background check to determine whether you are eligible for the profession.
